What we treat

The things that stop adults from doing what they want to do.

If it hurts, limits you, or has been "fine, mostly" for six months, it is worth an assessment.

  • Back and neck painPersistent, recurring, or the kind that flares every few months.
  • Joint pain and arthritisKnees, hips, shoulders. Keeping them moving and strong.
  • After surgeryJoint replacements, repairs, and getting your full range and confidence back.
  • Sprains, strains and tendon painThe everyday injuries that turn chronic when they are ignored.
  • Balance and confidenceSteadier on stairs, on ice, and getting up off the floor.
  • Returning after years awaySore, stiff, not sure where to start. That is a normal first appointment here.

Megan Wallenius

Resident PhysiotherapistMSc PhysiotherapyBrunel University London

Megan completed her MSc in Physiotherapy at Brunel University London and runs her practice out of Between The Bumpers. She works with adults of every level, and a large part of her week is people returning to movement after years away, after surgery, or after life simply got busy. Her plans are built around where you are, not where a textbook says you should be.

A quick look inside: the treatment room, the training floor, and how the two work together.

The missing link

Most therapy stops when the pain stops. Ours carries you back.

Your physiotherapist, athletic therapist and coaches work in the same building and talk to each other. When treatment ends, you do not get discharged into thin air. You get handed to a coach with a program that respects what your therapist found, so you go back to the golf course, the garden and the gym floor and stay there.

Assess and treat

A proper assessment, hands-on treatment and a plan you understand. No mystery, no endless open-ended appointments.

Rebuild with a coach

Strength, control and durability, coached one-on-one or in a small group, with your therapist twenty feet away if anything flares up.

Common questions

Before you book.

Do I need a referral?

No. In Ontario you can book directly with a physiotherapist. Book online and pick a time.

What should I wear or bring?

Clothes you can move in. If it is a knee or hip, shorts help. Bring any imaging reports or surgical notes you have, and a list of medications if relevant.

How many appointments will I need?

Honestly, it depends on what we find, and Megan will tell you after the assessment. The goal is a clear plan with an end, not open-ended weekly visits.

What is the difference between physiotherapy and athletic therapy?

Physiotherapy covers a broader scope, including chronic pain, post-surgical rehab and neurological conditions. Athletic therapy focuses on musculoskeletal injuries and getting active people back to activity. We offer both, in the same building, and if you book the wrong one we will simply move you.

I have not exercised in years. Is this still for me?

Yes. That is a normal first appointment here. Every plan starts from your current level, and if it makes sense we connect you with a coach afterwards so the progress sticks.
