Taylor Baird

Certified Athletic Therapist, CAT(C)Strength Coach

Taylor heads the athletic therapy program at Between The Bumpers, working with athletes and active adults who want to get past an injury rather than manage around it. Because she also coaches strength, her plans do not stop at "pain free". They carry through to strength, confidence and the movement you had before, and often better than that.

The missing link

Most therapy stops when the pain stops. Ours carries you back.

Your physiotherapist, athletic therapist and coaches work in the same building and talk to each other. When treatment ends, you do not get discharged into thin air. You get handed to a coach with a program that respects what your therapist found, so you go back to the golf course, the garden and the gym floor and stay there.

Assess and treat

A proper assessment, hands-on treatment and a plan you understand. No mystery, no endless open-ended appointments.

Rebuild with a coach

Strength, control and durability, coached one-on-one or in a small group, with your therapist twenty feet away if anything flares up.

Common questions

Before you book.

Do I have to be an athlete?

No. Athletic therapy is for anyone with a musculoskeletal injury who wants to get back to being active, whether that is a sport, the garden, or keeping up with grandchildren.

What is the difference between athletic therapy and physiotherapy?

Athletic therapy focuses on muscle, bone and joint injuries and returning to activity. Physiotherapy has a broader scope that also covers chronic pain, post-surgical rehab and neurological conditions. Both are here, and if you book the wrong one we move you.

Do I need a referral?

No. Book online and pick a time.

Can I keep training while I am being treated?

Usually, and often you should. Taylor will tell you what to change and what to keep. If you train here, she talks to your coach directly.
