Frequently Asked Questions

Both are hands-on rehabilitation professions. Physiotherapy covers a broader scope including chronic pain, post-surgical rehab, and neurological conditions. Athletic therapy specializes in musculoskeletal injuries and return-to-activity. At BTB, we offer both — and we'll help you figure out which practitioner is the right fit.
If you're dealing with chronic pain, post-surgical recovery, or complex multi-site issues, start with Megan (physiotherapy). If you have a sports injury, sprain/strain, or want return-to-sport clearance, Taylor (athletic therapy) is a great fit. Not sure? Book with either — we'll direct you to the right person at your first visit.
Physiotherapy is covered by most extended health plans. Athletic therapy is covered by many plans — check under "athletic therapy" or "kinesiology." Both practitioners provide detailed receipts for insurance submission. If your plan only covers physio, Megan can treat musculoskeletal injuries under that coverage.
No. You can book directly with either Megan or Taylor through our online booking system. Some insurance plans may require a physician's referral for reimbursement — check your specific plan.
Yes — this is one of the biggest advantages of doing rehab at BTB. Both Megan and Taylor can prescribe exercises you complete on our gym floor, supervised or independently. Your rehab program is delivered through our coaching app with video demos.
Comfortable, athletic clothing you can move freely in. Your practitioner will need to assess your movement and may need access to the area of concern. If you're coming from work, you're welcome to change here.
When you're discharged, our coaching team is right here to keep you progressing. Many clients transition directly into personal training or group classes — your practitioners work directly with our coaches so there's no gap in your programming.
You can reschedule at no cost with more than 24 hours' notice through Jane App. Appointments cancelled or missed with less than 24 hours' notice are subject to a cancellation fee.
