Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and conscientious coach, with a passion for health and fitness, a mission to connect with and help others and a desire to work hard and grow. The ideal candidate will be well equipped to educate, entertain and inspire our membership base to consistently and effectively improve their fitness and prioritize their health. The successful candidate will be responsible for learning the BTB methodology, teaching body weight, gymnastics, powerlifting, and olympic lifting movements, and supporting our members every step of the way. The successful candidate will coach group fitness classes, personal training sessions, and new member on-boarding sessions.

Position Requirements:

Guide athletes through daily workouts focused on skills, strength and conditioning, while creating a fun, inclusive and productive atmosphere for them to achieve their goals. Build rapport with new members and help them feel “at home” with your coaching style and BTB. Understand and demonstrate functional movements, understand and explain the BTB training methodology, and have the necessary skills to scale and modify movements for any fitness level. Be able to create and deliver customized, effective workout programs. Communicate and model the BTB values and policies. Stage classes to promote class flow and a welcoming environment. Assist in keeping the gym area and its equipment clean and organized. Welcome and effectively communicate feedback with openness and adaptability.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

Has experience in personal training and/or sports specific training. CrossFit L1 is considered an asset but not required to apply. If an applicant does not have an L1, a recognized personal training or group class certification will be encouraged*. Valid CPR/AED certification required (preferred prior to hiring but necessary prior to start).

*For the right individual without a personal training and/or sports specific training certification, an internship can be provided.

Time Commitment:

• 15-25 hours per week (with opportunities for growth)

Expected start date:

• July 2024 or earlier

Length:

• 1 Year contract + opportunity for extension

Job Description:

We are seeking a proactive and driven Sales Consultant to join our vibrant team. The role involves engaging with potential clients to promote our fitness services, with a focus on booking consultations that introduce prospects to our dynamic training environment. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a sales-driven role and are passionate about health, fitness, and building relationships. Further this role allows for the ability to work from home.

Responsibilities:

• Contact potential clients through warm calling(no cold calling), referrals, and networking.

• Schedule consultations and introductory sessions for new members.

• Provide information about our fitness programs and the benefits of joining the BTB community.

• Maintain and update customer information in the sales database.

• Achieve monthly targets and contribute to the overall sales goals of the gym.

• Attend team meetings and training sessions to stay updated on new offerings and pricing structures.

Position Requirements:

This role is suited for those who not only possess excellent communication skills but also have a genuine enthusiasm for helping others achieve their fitness goals. Success in this role is built on persistence, a personable approach, and the ability to connect with a diverse client base.

Emily McMahon

Head Coach

Emily joined BTB as a coach after completing her college placement at the facility! We were so impressed by Emily's passion for fitness that we had to offer her a position with the team. Emily now heads our programming and youth classes.

Elsa-Joy Chalmers

COACH

Elsa-Joy came to BTB after an extensive career in the fitness industry that spanned multiple positions in the industry. Elsa-joy runs our teens program, newsletter, and administrative role at the gym.

Jon Cardinal

Coach

Jon joined BTB with an extensive background with the RCMP, Brazilian Ju-Jitsu, and a love for faith and family. Jon can be found energizing our morning classes with that infectious energy of his.

Katelyn Galla

Coach

Katelyn has been a long time coach at the gym, and when she is not leading early morning fitness classes she can be found teaching our youth. As a French teacher here is Ottawa she takes on the important role of shaping our next generation.

Samantha Desgroseilliers

COACH

Samantha joins BTB with a diverse range of skills. Having completed her Masters in Psychotherapy, Samantha brings a unique , holistic, and personable perspective to her coaching practice here at BTB.

Arden Sabourin

General Manager

Arden is our String-Puller at BTB. Working mostly on the back end of BTB Arden works to make sure things run smoothly from an operational perspective. Arden is also completing her Masters in Psychotherapy.

Dr. Marie-Pier Sauriol

Post-Partum Rehab

Dr. Sauriol heads our Post-Partum rehab program, specializing in helping new mothers navigate their bodies post pregnancy. Her passion is helping both mom and baby flourish after the miracle that is childbirth.

Sam Sabourin

Director

Sam is the director of BTB Fitness. After years of working with athletes at the college and professional ranks, there was one thing missing from his resume...Family! So in 2017 he moved back to his home town of Stittsville to build a space to help his community take charge of their health.
