That is why we encourage all of our athletes to track their workouts over time. So how does tracking your workouts look? And why does it work?
If you want to make progress in your fitness journey, it's important to track your workouts. But why is this the case? And how can tracking your workouts help you achieve your goals?
Here are a few reasons why tracking your workouts can be beneficial:
Progress: By writing down the weight you lift and the time it takes you to complete a workout, you'll quickly start to build an awareness of your progress. You'll be able to see trends in your fitness and notice when you're adding more weight to the barbell or completing workouts faster. This will generate positive emotion and keep you motivated to stay consistent with your goals.
Accountability: When you track your workouts, you become accountable to yourself and other members of the community. Using a tracking app like SugarWOD will allow you to receive encouraging messages from your classmates, which can help increase your adherence to your fitness routine.
