Registered Physiotherapy for adults, seniors, and active professionals — chronic pain relief, post-surgical rehab, and gym-integrated recovery. Serving Stittsville, Kanata, Richmond, and Ottawa West.

BSc Kinesiology — Queen's University | MSc Physiotherapy — Brunel University London
Megan's path into physiotherapy started on the gym floor. After completing her BSc in Kinesiology at Queen's University, she worked as a Strength and Conditioning Coach right here at BTB — helping members build strength, mobility, and resilience through training. That hands-on coaching experience led her to pursue her Master's in Physiotherapy at Brunel University London, where she trained alongside professionals treating everyone from post-surgical patients to active seniors. Now practicing as BTB's Resident Physiotherapist, Megan combines clinical skill with a coach's eye for movement — helping you get out of pain and stay there.

In the bustling community of Stittsville, busy working professionals often find themselves dealing with the stress and strain of long commutes or spending countless hours at a desk working from home. The demands of tight deadlines, prolonged sitting, and the constant pressure of balancing work and personal life can take a significant toll on both body and mind. Incorporating regular massage therapy into your routine can provide much-needed relief and significantly improve your overall well-being, making it easier to navigate the challenges of your hectic lifestyle.
Many Stittsville professionals experience common issues such as neck and shoulder tension, headaches, and lower back pain. These problems often arise from prolonged sitting, poor posture, and high stress levels, whether you're commuting to work or working from home. Over time, this can lead to chronic discomfort, decreased productivity, and a negative impact on overall health.
Massage therapy offers a range of benefits that can address these issues:
Stress Relief: Massage therapy activates the parasympathetic nervous system, which helps to reduce stress and promote relaxation. By lowering cortisol levels and increasing the production of endorphins, massage therapy can help you feel more relaxed and less anxious.
Pain Management: Regular massage sessions can alleviate chronic pain by targeting specific areas of tension and inflammation. Techniques such as deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy are particularly effective for relieving muscle knots and tension.
Improved Circulation: Massage therapy enhances blood flow, which helps to deliver oxygen and nutrients to tissues and organs. Improved circulation can reduce muscle soreness and promote faster healing of injuries.
Increased Flexibility: Massage therapy can improve range of motion and muscle flexibility, reducing the risk of injuries caused by tight muscles and poor posture. Stretching and myofascial release techniques are especially beneficial for maintaining flexibility.
Better Sleep: Massage therapy promotes deeper, more restful sleep by reducing stress and anxiety, and alleviating pain and discomfort. A good night's sleep is crucial for overall health and productivity.
Finding time for self-care can be challenging for busy professionals, but it's essential for maintaining overall well-being. Here are some tips to help you integrate massage therapy into your routine:
Schedule Regular Sessions: Set aside time for regular massage sessions, whether it's weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly. Consistency is key to experiencing the full benefits of massage therapy.
Make It a Priority: Treat your massage appointments as important meetings that cannot be missed. Prioritizing self-care will help you stay committed to your wellness routine.
Combine with Other Self-Care Practices: Pair massage therapy with other self-care activities such as yoga, meditation, or regular exercise to enhance its benefits.
Communicate with Your RMT: Let your Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) know about your specific needs and any areas of concern. They can tailor the massage to address your unique issues and help you achieve the best results.
Incorporating regular massage therapy into your routine can be a game-changer for busy working professionals in Stittsville. By reducing stress, alleviating pain, and improving overall well-being, massage therapy can help you feel more balanced and productive. Prioritize your health and book an appointment with our experienced RMT today to experience the transformative benefits of massage therapy firsthand.
