Brett's path into coaching started with combat sports. An active Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competitor with a background in mixed martial arts, Brett spent years on the mats and in the ring before turning his focus to helping everyday people use boxing and strength training to feel stronger, calmer, and more capable in their daily lives.

After completing the Fitness & Health Promotion program at Algonquin College with honours, Brett earned his NASM Certified Personal Trainer designation and now serves as a Strength, Conditioning & Boxing Coach at BTB — running 1-on-1 personal training and his signature BoxingFit program. He coaches with quiet confidence and a warm, patient demeanour — making him especially effective with clients getting back into the gym after time away.

No — BoxingFit at BTB is strictly non-contact. You'll work the pads with Brett, hit the heavy bag, and use conditioning equipment. There is no sparring, no competition, and no fighting. The focus is fitness, skill-building, and stress relief.
No — BTB provides gloves, wraps, and all equipment for your first session. If you decide to continue (and most clients do), many eventually pick up their own wraps and gloves for hygiene and personal fit.
Yes. Most BoxingFit sessions are 1-on-1, but small group options are available if you'd like to train with a partner, spouse, or a group of friends. Ask about small group pricing during your free consult.
